Both these images are of found objects from sidewalks in my neighborhood in South Philadelphia. The angel ornament was a
few blocks from my house, discarded on the street after Christmas. The sunlight gave
her an otherworldly quality to me.
Around the same time, the headless pigeon carcass (consisting of a few bones,  
one foot, and the wings intact) was left in front of my house. Even though most of its body was gone, its wings looked strong.
I was sad for the  loss of the bird, but it felt
as though its spirit was still present, which
is why I ghosted a duplicate image above
the carcass.
